Distance Education (DE) has gained increasing prominence in today's society due to the extreme need to use information and communication technologies (ICT's) and the increasing search for knowledge. Distance Learning, known as EAD, is originally defined in Law 9394/96, generally provided for in Article 80, and more specifically in Decree No. 9057 of May 25, 2017. EAD works in an agile and accessible way. Most of the course takes place with the help of the internet, on a remote platform, the virtual learning environment, known as AVA. It is in this virtual classroom environment where the student watches video classes, accesses text content, performs tasks and exercises. It also has several other tools such as chats, discussion forums and videoconferences that enable communication between teachers, tutors and students. Even if it is a distance graduation, there can be face-to-face activities such as laboratory practices, also the presentation of the Course Completion Work (TCC) and final exam can occur in person. Distance education courses are growing every day, the format has been improved and today online courses are a trend all over the world, specifically in Brazil. This propensity for growth is verified because in this type of education, the student has access to a professional qualification with quality, offering flexibility of schedules, convenience to dedicate himself to studies, in addition to lower costs compared to traditional face-to-face teaching. The popularization of Distance Education (EAD) promoted a series of changes in the dynamics of teaching. Educators had the mission of reinventing the way of teaching and transmitting content. Students, although they have numerous advantages, need to maintain their level of engagement with the course, focus, be motivated, have tireless self-discipline and efficient time management. It is certainly an evolution in teaching pedagogy, bringing a greater scope in the number of people who can graduate, democratizing information and teaching. A new reengineering in education.
